On my second visit of New York's very grand and fascinating Madame Tussauds NY Wax Museum, I was accompanied by my six year-old niece, Camille, and her mother, Madeline. This was truly a Girls' Day Out, with the Broadway show, Mary Poppins, to follow, plus a Grishko dancewear shopping spree and a fun New Year's dinner at Seven Bar and Grill. Madame Tussauds NY Wax Museum was packed with tourists today, as it was still New Year's Weekend, and each exhibit was adorned with visitors, who wanted photo opportunities with The Stars. So, in order to photo numerous wax figure re-creations of Pop Icons, Renowned Politicians, retro TV and Movie Stars, and other Celebrities, Camille posed solo and with her mother, so I could catch the figures with my camera.
Among our favorite figures were Lucille Ball, Princess Diana, Albert Einstein, George Clooney, and Judy Garland. We also took in the 4-D Movie, with excerpts of "The Polar Express". The production team at Madame Tussauds NY Wax Museum added some introductory 3-D effects, some snow from the ceiling, some splashes of water, and some other surprises to give this great children's movie a surround-sound-touch-sight-smell experience. Camille loved this entire morning's experience, and we look forward to our next visit. And, if you’re planning a special event, there is an enormous, carpeted party room for dancing, catered dining, cultural conferences, or any event that might be enhanced with a few of your favorite, lifelike wax figures!
