Tonight was a beautiful night at Midsummer Night Swing, with the classical and professional Jazz of Wynton Marsalis and his Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. They have been in residence at Lincoln Center for ten years. They played slow, "Get Close" Swing music for dancers, as well as fast pieces by Ellington and other greats. The soloists were well received, and a few are featured here in candid photos. As I am short, I had to point my camera up, on occasion, but the musicians shone in the moonlight.
