Fall was in the air. I was glad for the wrap I’d worn to dinner and to the theater. It had been a wonderful evening and I was tired…headed home, but not quite ready to sleep. A snifter of cognac, Alizé Blue to be specific, on my couch by the fireplace was just the way I wanted to end a great night.

Its beautiful amber color poured like liquid silk into the crystal glass. Smoky but smooth, I thought, sipping the deliciously fragrant drink. I’d enjoyed fine food and entertainment and now, a quality cognac to cap it off. By itself, or in a mixed drink, Alizé can be appreciated in many ways. Next time, maybe I’d try creating a Cognac Two Timer or Stinger. Or even a Pineapple Smooch. (Recipes are included in the Alizé gift package). So many pleasant ways to enjoy this cognac….If only every day could be as good as this.
