This afternoon the Chicago Editor of RobertaOnTheArts.com, Susan Weinrebe, came to town and stayed at the very warm and refurbished Holiday Inn on West 57th Street. At the corner of the street from Holiday Inn is a cozy, relaxing restaurant and bar, Jake's Saloon, at 10th Avenue and 57th Street. Susan ordered an Irish beer, and I ordered a Chardonnay. Then we got down to the business of dinner and both enjoyed a generous grilled salmon and fluffy couscous. Soon we were ready to walk uptown to Triad for a madcap musical revue.
