The 59 E 59 Theaters created an unusual opportunity for theater members and staff and the community, as well as guests, to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2005-2006 with class, fun, noisemakers, hats, jazz, dancing, melted chocolate fountain, hors d-oeuvres, champagne, conversation, and a chance to get to know the people behind the scenes of this wonderful and eclectic, theatrical venue. In fact, I had just attended Park Avenue Whirl, an upbeat swing music event, and I have recently reviewed drama at this venue, as well as previously. But, tonight was for partying, and I braved the New Year’s Eve security barricades in midtown, and the party was well worth the walking adventure. Happy New Year!
