A hidden treasure for seekers of state of the art hair stylings, treatments, and highlights, for both women and men, can be found tucked into 313 West 53rd Street, New York, between 8th and 9th Avenues. I stopped by today for a double-process to rejuventae, color, and essentially re-create my hair presentation. I met Timothy, owner, David, manager, and Amy, my stylist and colorist. At Timothy John's, the client is assigned one person, who essentially works on all aspects of the haircut, style, color, treatments, etc. My specialist was Amy, who made my base color a dark blonde and added multi-dimensional golden and creamy blonde high-lights. When the process was through, she sealed the color with a tinted gloss, followed by a scalp massage and deep conditioning treatment. She then completed the look with a cut to compliment my facial structure and "life style", which necessitates low-maintenance style-drying, as I dash off to Lincoln Center or Broadway in the evening.
Amy did a great job, and I was able to get to a jazz event in the evening, where complements abounded. The entire day's experience was soothing and nurturing.
