Rizzoli Bookstore creates and presents numerous special events throughout each month, many of which are designed for the authors of new Rizzoli and other publications to sign copies of books and meet Rizzoli's guests. Today's elegant book signing event, in the upstairs atrium of Rizzoli's renowned 57th Street Bookstore, was for the new publication of James Sanders’ Scenes from the City, published by Rizzoli. James Sanders, an architect, wrote the PBS series, New York: A Documentary Film which won an Emmy Award. He also writes for the New York Times, Vanity Fair, the Los Angeles Times, and Architectural Record. Rare behind-the-scenes photos and stories about films, videos, television series, and commercials, all shot in the streets of New York, are mixed with commentary by renowned directors and writers.
