All composition by Hernan Romero.

Tonight “Jazz in the Sky”, indoors on a rainy June evening, at Terrace in the Sky, featured the Romero Flamenco Trio, with Sol, a vibrant Flamenco dancer, who joined the trio as a “palmera”, clapping her hands in Flamenco rhythm, whenever she was not busy dancing. That dance was intense and fascinating. Hernan Romero can be seen around town with his trio, and his Flamenco guitar ballads and original compositions transport the listener to a club in sunny Spain. Romero sings, and his guitar sings, as well, with rich resonating rhythms that stir the soul. Most of tonight’s songs were Romero’s originals, and Sean Kupisz played cajón, with Manuel Carro on vocals and congas. The trio is seasoned and splendid.

Special Guests at the head tables included Robert Abrams, Publisher of ExploreDance.com, and some of the Sponsors of both RobertaOnTheArts.com and ExploreDance.com, tonight’s Co-Producer. The menu at Terrace in the Sky was a fine three-tapas dinner at “Jazz in the Sky” pricing, which includes choice of wine or cocktail. Of course, the skyline views from the indoor space, as they are from the outdoor terrace, were sparkling and mesmerizing, even with rain, clouds, and eventual stars.
