Heaven is a cool summer sail on the Shearwater! It was a brutal day in the City, temperatures hovering in the mid-90's, but, on the Shearwater, the breezes were cool and the air was clear. This was one of the loveliest sails yet, with splendid views, just enough wind, chilled white wine, and a leisurely sail, past Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the glistening skylines, not to mention chiming buoys and gliding seagulls.
The Sunset Cruise allows the passenger to experience the shifts in light and color of the World Financial Center, the River, the Statue of Liberty, and the passing cruise boats. The sun and the moon take turns entertaining us, as we forget our woes, returning re-invigorated and refreshed. Captain Chris and crew were watchful, as we sailed past downtown, toward blue/pink skies and shimmering waves.
