Patelson Music House, founded by Joseph Patelson in 1947, tonight presented its return engagement of the Kerry Linder Brazilian Jazz Trio, including Kerry Linder on authentic Portuguese vocals and Brazilian percussion, Laura Dreyer on saxophone and flute, and introducing Marcos Vigio on guitar. Kerry Linder’s vocals were smooth, sultry, and sensational, and her percussive ornamentations added pulsating and inspirational rhythms. Laura Dreyer played both sax and flute, with poise and expertise, while Marcos Vigio accompanied on his Brazilian-infused guitar. Marsha Patelson, as Host at her music store, welcomed the crowd with anecdotes and generosity.
On September 19, 2007 River Alexander’s “Mad Jazz Hatters” will return on vocals, guitar, sax, bass, clarinet, and more. Tonight’s complimentary Open House was hosted by Marsha Patelson, and staff was on hand to help serve wine, cheese, hors d’oeuvres and wraps. Patelson Music House had its largest live music crowd ever, and more guests during the concert, as the door was opened with a cool, fresh breeze. The music was exotic, energetic, and engaging. The complimentary Wine Wednesday evenings begin at 5:30 PM and last until 7:30 PM.
