Kathryn MacLellan (Katy), a dancer with Graham II, and a student at the Graham School of Contemporary Dance, joined me at Onstage Dancewear (www.OnstageDancewear.com) to dance around the shop in a variety of colorful leotards, skirts, pants, shorts, and even a bolero shrug. Everything she showcased looked wondrous and dramatic, just like the iconic Martha Graham dances, practiced and performed by the main Company, Graham II, and its School. Many of Katy's choreographed poses evoked images from the Graham Repertory, such as "Steps in the Street" and "Appalachian Spring", recently reviewed at The Joyce Theater.
