This weekend I had the pleasure of dining at Zenith-Asahi, Vegetarian and Japanese Cuisine. The menu is widely varied and ever so inviting. The ambiance at Zenith-Asahi is casual, candlelit, and friendly. Service is prompt and informative.
The appetizers can be chosen from the vegetarian menu or from the Japanese menu. So, couples and friends can mix and match cuisines. For example, vegetarian appetizers include vegetarian chicken sate, edamame (boiled green soybeans), and sweet potato sushi roll. Japanese appetizers include tuna tatare, salmon tataki, and seafood soup.
I dined on tuna tataki, slightly seared sushi grade tuna, steamed vegetable buns, and a combination entree. The entrees can be chosen from a long list, two per serving. My crepes espenades were made of soybean, stuffed with spinach, and topped with a red, sesame sauce. The bundles of joy were zuchini, mushroom, bamboo shoot, and jicama, wrapped with vegetarian ham in white basil sauce.
Zenith-Asahi also serves lunches and a wide array of desserts, like green tea ice cream and mango sorbet. Health drinks, herbal teas, and wines are also available. Ask for Alan, and tell him you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com.
