Rafael Abreu, Director of Sales & Marketing at Statue Cruises, the renowned cruise line that docks right at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, joined me for lunch today at Agua Dulce, on Ninth Avenue at 53rd Street, in New York's Theatre District. Agua Dulce's Proprietor, Chris LaMotta, also joined us, and Chef Ulrich Sterling stopped by, as well. We started off with House Made Guacamole, Warm Tortilla Chips, and Fresh Mango, and then Camarones de Cana, with Tequila Lime Glazed, Cane Skewered Shrimp. Next, Rafael chose the Sandwich Cubano, with Shredded Pork, Cured Ham, Swiss, and House Made Pickles. I ordered my favorite dish, Crispy Rice Crusted, Seared Yellow Fin Tuna, with Napa Cabbage and Grilled Melon.
Agua Dulce leaves you with joy, as the entire experience is such a pleasure. They even play rhythmic rumbas and tangos. Check out Agua Dulce's festive New Year's Eve Dinners and Open Bar. Agua Dulce is open seven days/week for brunch, lunch, dinner, cocktails, and late night bar dining. Call Agua Dulce at 212.262.1299 to reserve a table or seat at the busy bar. Tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com.
