My six year-old niece, Camille, was in town today for Mary Poppins, her first Broadway show. She'd been to Lincoln Center ballets and Radio City for the Rockettes, but today was a Broadway dance day. To continue the festive New Year's mood, with New York still decked out in Holiday lights and finery, we stopped by Grishko Dancewear's NYC Flagship Store on West 50th Street, so Camille could choose two new pairs of Grishko ballet slippers, in pink leather and red satin, plus a Grishko Wild Child Leopard warmup outfit.
Camille got to meet a real ballerina and a real ballet rehearsal coach/dancer, and then she posed at the barre and mirror, with assistance from the Grishko NYC Team. Of great assistance was Judy Weiss, Master Fitter, who helped Camille fit her new slippers perfectly, for her New Jersey ballet lessons at L'École de la Dance at Mt. Laurel Ballet. Camille was a lucky girl today, as Grishko NYC also had the Wild Child Leopard Wrap and Leg Warmers in her 8/10 size. We chose a black camisole to wear with the outfit, and Camille danced all around the Grishko's NY Flagship Store.
