Where can you shop for every adult relative, client, co-worker, boss, friend, partner, lawyer, doctor, neighbor, housekeeper, and everyone else? At Joe Canal's! Their two expansive discount liquor outlets have about 26,000 square feet each, with Bottle Club discounts for members that lower prices even further. Toni Carver, one of the Lawrenceville, New Jersey store managers, pointed me in the right direction for photos and wine exploration. I passed through aisles of refrigerated wines and craft beers, very fine imported liqueurs and whiskies, the best of vodkas, and exotic flavored drinks. Joe Canal's has boxed champagnes and liqueurs, with matching crystal glassware, and aisles of unusual boxed gifts and holiday wine bags to brighten your party celebrations.
After the Holidays, or even before, you can stop by for wine-tastings and special celebrity events. Toni was quite helpful to me, recently, when I arrived, via a Dial 7 town car, to visit the store. In fact, I highly recommend Dial 7 for all your trips out of town. Today, when my brother, Steve, stopped by for a case of Italian reds, Toni was by his side, assisting him as a pro. He eventually mixed a case of Chianti and Rosso di Montalcino, from the expansive aisles of Italian red and white wines.
