See an Introductory Testimonial about Dianne & Elisabeth.

Dianne & Elisabeth, the elegant Hell’s Kitchen bistro hosted by restaurateur Charlie Marshall, has the most sophisticated Happy Hour in the area. From 5 PM to 7 PM, weekdays, and 4 PM to 7 PM, weekends, the bar is packed, not a seat in the house. Recently, I snagged a seat early and enjoyed, thanks to Lincoln the Bartender, an Aunt Mary's Moonlight Nip cocktail, with Tequila, Fresh Pineapple, Lime Juice, Cane Syrup, and Sage. My Happy Hour Cheese and Crostinis were Ardith Mae Bigelo Goat Cheese, Bayley Hazen Blue Cheese, Fresh Honeycomb, and Beth's Farm Kitchen Habanero Jelly. The Happy Hour Menu lists a generous choice of white, red, and sparkling wines and beers as well. Also on the Happy Hour Bites menu are items like Shallot Potato Fries and a giant Homemade Pretzel with cheese dipping sauce, as well as a selection of Charcuterie and regional Cheeses. I chatted with a restaurateur from Australia, and he was a fascinating guest. I should also mention that this restaurant is known for the high quality of its farm to table meats, produce, and bakery selections. I should also mention its Weekend Brunch, the best in Hell’s Kitchen!

Charlie Marshall’s other restaurant, The Marshal, is close by and generates lines around the block. Charlie and business partners Neil Weiss and Brian Weiss named Dianne & Elisabeth for their respective mothers. Its candlelit bar looks out over the hustle and bustle of Tenth Avenue passersby. In fact, if you look closely, you might see theater celebrities walking to or from Broadway or Off-Broadway shows, many of whom live in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. Dancers, musicians, and visual artists, as well, might stop by Dianne & Elisabeth for a small or large plate and a wine or cocktail, after a performance. Be sure to visit the Dianne & Elisabeth Happy Hour, and stay for a small or large plate, chosen from the extraordinary menu. And, don’t forget their Weekend Brunch. Tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com!
