On a late April Friday, I was joined by out-of-town relatives for a fun and informative ride downtown from Times Square to Battery Park. Our guide was Esther, and she told the Gray Line NY guests all about the sights along the way. The weather was sunny and breezy, perfect for this excursion. On several other Gray Line NY excursions, I took the ride the entire route. However, this time I and my guests took it halfway, as we had plans downtown later on.
We stopped at Greenwich Village for cappuccino and window-shopping, before a leisurely stroll around Washington Square Park. Then we stopped at the National Museum of the American Indian at Battery Park, where we spent a good deal of time. This is a fascinating museum for adults, students, and children, as well. The beauty of the Gray Line NY Loops, both Downtown and Uptown, is that you can pause your ride at various junctures all along the routes and then hop back on either quickly or later in the day. My visitors, from Massachusetts, loved this Downtown Loop excursion, and the other guests aboard were from all over the US and around the globe.
