I was joined this afternoon at Bangkok House by a friend from Long Island, ele Franklin, after we saw A Catered Affair in the theatre district. We were in a festive spring mood and quite hungry. We were delighted with Bangkok House's unique Thai cuisine. ele dined on Ginger Chicken and Vegetables, while I ordered Steamed Ginger Bass with a fresh chili pepper. For dessert, we were thrilled with the orange sherbert in champagne, a creamy, yet sparkling dessert. In the warm months, Bangkok House opens the doors to a small open-air patio. This is a wonderful way to end an afternoon or evening at the theatre.
Call 212.541.5943, and reserve a table at Bangkok House for before or after the theatre, or just for a lovely night at an exquisite, yet reasonable restaurant. Tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com.
