Studio 57 Fine Arts, located on West 57th Street, midtown Manhattan, near Carnegie Hall, City Center, Broadway shows, 57th Street shopping, and Lincoln Center, is hosting an Art Show for about one week for six students from The Art Students League next door to the gallery. Tonight was the Opening Night Reception, and it was packed with Studio 57 Fine Arts clients, as well as the New York art community. The students whose work was represented were: (Samantha Beste Website), Maya Hardin, (Tokoha Matsuda (Website)), (Jacques Moiroud Website), (Tim Saternow Website), and (Bernard Zalon Website). Samantha and Maya do not yet have working websites, so I asked each of them for a comment. Maya said, "Etching feels now like a very familiar language that yet continues to surprise me every day in the studio with its expressive richness." Samantha wrote, "The city is my subject, whether painting or printmaking, as I seek to share my profound love of my urban territory with others who feel the same way." You can click into the websites of the other four artists on their names, and you will see a wide variety of genres, with unique etchings and paintings, plus bios and more.

Studio 57 Fine Arts is now exclusively representing these talented young artists, so stop by Studio 57 Fine Arts and inquire about any of these six artists. You will also find Hirschfelds, Chagalls, and Pissarros. Jack and Eddie will also assist you in framing decisions, as they have a wide selection of wood and metal designer frames to match your decor and style. Many of the works are even already framed. Watch the Upcoming Events Column on this magazine for listings of more special events at Studio 57 Fine Arts. Stop by and visit Studio 57 Fine Arts, before a concert at Carnegie Hall or City Center. Ask for Jack or Eddie, and tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com.
