Il Punto Jazz Mondays are the new Monday night NY Jazz destination, presented by RobertaOnTheArts.com. Guests dine on an authentic two-course Italian pasta dinner and wine, with live music and an opportunity to meet New York dining and jazz enthusiasts. Il Punto's private room is elegant, with wooden arches and a custom oak bar. The acoustics are amazing, and microphones are not needed, giving the sound a natural melodic resonance.
On March 1, Emilio Solla created a rapturous Argentine tango ambiance, with pieces by Piazzolla and Pugliese, and he also played original songs, contemporary jazz, ballads, and bossa novas. On March 8, Hector Martignon, on keyboard, and Roberto Quintero, on percussion, were so enthusiastic in their Latin Jazz arrangements, that guests took to the dance floor.
Il Punto Ristorante's Chef Michele Orsino has designed a Jazz night menu with choices of three Appetizers, such as Calamari Fritti in Tomato Sauce, choices of three fresh pastas, such as Fusilli Lucani con Seppioline Ripiene, with Stuffed Baby Squid in Tomato Sauce, and red or white wine by the glass. Of course, guests are welcome to order from the restaurant's richly varied, main menu as well. Owner Tony, and Manager, Joe, take excellent care of their patrons. Call 212.244.0088, and reserve a table at Il Punto Ristorante for the upcoming March and April Jazz Mondays, listed below. Seating is limited in this intimate space, and early reservations are suggested. Click here for discount parking! Tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com.
